Lisa Oakes, the principal at Oaklee Interiors, graduated cum laude from the Shintaro Akatsu School of Design. Inspired by European culture and design, she moved to Florence, Italy, to complete her Master of Interior Architecture from the leading interior design school, Florence Design Academy.
Upon returning to the states, she began her career at Highend Architects and Interiors Firm were she worked on multiple projects ranging from $50K - 5 Million. After spending 5 years there, armed with extensive knowledge in American and European design, she accepted the lead interior designer position for Fletcher Customs Home. This subsequently led to the birth of Oaklee Interiors.
On top of graduating cum laude, Lisa was a member of the University of Bridgeport's 6x USA National Championship Team. Her organization and time management skills were vital in balancing the demands. She further improved her interpersonal skills while developing young talent leading gymnastics program in Connecticut.
Lisa's skills learned as a gymnast, student, and living abroad positively influence her design and management style.
